I’m Kim Smart, storyteller, and author of stories given to me through meditation, dream and life’s experiences.
Raised in South Dakota, I eventually grew up in Alaska where I landed initially as a young nurse. Two decades later I moved to San Diego and graduated law school, eventually returning to Alaska where I continued to work in health care, at the intersection with the law and public service.
I have a diverse love for writing and reading. I enjoy romance, women’s literature, historical fiction, poetry, and true stories of people living authentic lives. Following my lifelong dream, I currently write romance and women’s literature, historical fiction and continue to write nonfiction for various publications.
When not writing or traveling, I enjoy spending time with my parents and extended family, hiking, and creating in the kitchen. I currently live in Arizona, or wherever the wind blows me, visiting my children, grandchildren, and other interesting parts of our world.
